This thread have been talking about the sound. But to me, a virtual analogue 
when embedded in a mix, is sounds like a real one. And it stays in tune 
too...
I have another reason that made me go real analogue. And that is the 
temperament, and unpredictable way that the real analogue gear behave. 
Tweaking the knobs  on a complex patch in analogue world is an adventure, 
you can´t really predict what the resault will be, and exact recreate a 
sound is nearly impossible. Quite often I make a patch and gets a sound I 
never heard before.
For a pro producer in thight time scedule that is a nightmare, as well as a 
muscian with interest in total control over things. For the experimentalist, 
it is just fun. And to me that is the main reason to go for a real analogue 
modular.
