I've had but not for music and only did some little stuff on my ex BF

It's been a long time in the work and for about 2-3 years, it starts  
to get out of the university "musical" centers.

Ardour is sexy and getting sexier.

There's also Agnula as a distro for linux/music (PC only)

There was a new one less experimental aimed, but I don't remember its  
name.

You have a list of all the audio distro of Linux.

Note that for linux on a mac you're a bit stuck, no specific music  
distro.
