[NM] Midi talkback, G2 Engine, Behringer BCR2000

Hooray! I'm about to get a G2 engine (G2E). Really been missing having a 
virtual modular ever since I sold my NM1.

I read the section in the manual about Midi talkback, and it was written 
from the point of view that one would want to use the G2/G2X knobs to 
control other equipment.

I have the converse situation. I want to have a knob box control the 
G2E. I am looking into the Behringer BCR2000 because it has led-ringed 
encoders similar to the G2.

My questions..

Does the G2E issue the status of its cc-mapped controllers when you load 
up a patch (so that the BCR2000 would be able to display an accurate 
representation of the current patch settings)?

And does anyone have G2E + BCR2000 experience? I'd appreciate some pros 
and cons, tips, etc.
