This list used to be a real hive of activity, but you know how it is ...
things change. Life moves on. Newer and better synths come out and
nobody has time for the old ones any more.

That's pretty much how it always used to work. I myself got -- and still
am -- very busy because my children grew and suddenly had to attend
college: and some schmuck actually had to go out and work and pay for
it. Therefore, I've had less time for this list and for posting than I
used to do, and it's likely to stay that way for a while because I made
the big mistake of having more than one child who decided to go to college!!

Nevertheless, I would be interested to know ... what is it exactly that
you "love" about "my old Clavia Nord Modular"?
You participate by answering that question.
And then I'll participate again by telling you what I think of what you
said.
And if we're really lucky something informative and interesting get said.

I have to warn you, though, that informative and interesting things do
not usually get said in my own emails.

It's a bit like duck hunting, really. There's some really nice people on
this list, but they've all taken to lurking because they think they're
OH SO SUPERIOR these days because they've got some fancy dancy schmancy
new synth that I can't afford right now. It's not that I'm jealous, you
understand. It's just that I really really would like to get my hands on
one of those new synths but I can't afford one and I kill everyone I
meet who owns one in the hopes that they've left me their bright new
synth in their will. So far, there's a lot of dead G2 owners bodies
lying around (which is why this list has gone all quiet, of course) but
I've still got no G2. Maybe it's justice or something.

Anyway -- why don't we go duck-hunting. You answer my question about
what it is about the old G2 that you like -- because as ridiculous or
banal or boring as you like -- and then I'll say something equally
tedious and banal and boring and we'll see if we can't raise a thing or
two. I'm game if you are. Then I'll send you their home address then you
can go round there and do what you like to them and their G2s.

It's not that I'm jealous, you understand. It's just that I'm really
trying to stretch this ridiculous post out as long as I can for no good
reason at all.

OK. I can't think of any more ridiculous things to say.

Over to you now.

I'll probably take a while replying because I have to go out and work to
get the money to put my children through college, but I'll reply to you
eventually.

As Howard says, just go for it!!!!

I look forward to seeing an email from you when I get back. Happy duck
hunting to you!!

With every good wish,
(K)ofi (B)usia
