Hi all, thanks for your answers.
So far they didn't really solve the problem. But I'll have a look when
all is hooked up again.
At least the performance went well without any crashes ;-)

OK, never seemed to need this before, but I'll see.

This can't be the cause. There are no apps using the NM PC MIDI port.

If you are referring to disabling the corresponding port in Logic: I
know of that, and it's not the problem.
If you are referring to anything else, please tell me more.

No, there wasn't any on this PC.

Hmm that could point in an interesting direction. I use a Midiman 2x2
and it did in fact make me wonder more than once. It often isn't
recognised after waking up from hibernation. Sometimes (when I add
another USB device) it isn't recognized until I plug it into another USB
port (and then it has to be installed again)...
Well, what I _did_ install recently was MidiYoke. But I can't really see
how this should interfere with my Nord PC port.

:-(
But to be honest: I did arrange quite well with the fact that I can't
justify to buy a G2. I know it's not the same, but the combination of my
NM classic with PureData works very well for me - especially as it
integrates nicely "messing around" with audio input from the NM and
other musicians...
Best
