[NM] NM>G2

I own booth machines and since the G2 is in the house the NM1 was
getting dust...
Up to yesterday when i decided to mary the old one with the Machinedrum.
And..i really like that sound...
There is defenetly something about the old NM..its just damn
unconfortable to patch when you got used to the G2
On the first hand the editors and modules look pretty similar..
But all the little improovments of the G2 make quite a big difference
in the end...
However..
The spectral osc on the old NM just sounds great... You dont get this
crunchy buzziness out of the G2...it sounds more civilized ...a bit
domesticated... Better lowend..better highs..but not as buzzy.

Would be great if clavia would reintroduce the original spec osc into
the G2..
I wrote to them about it and even talked with the man itself, Hand
Nordelius, about the issue.. And he was surprised that the shapemod
oscs are not givingg that sound.
Seems to be an unintentional develepoment that actually should be fixed.
At least when the new dsps of the G2 are able to do the same sound
when the original algorythm would get reimplemented.
As more users ask for it as more likely it is to happen.
So..if some of you haven contacted clavia support with that
wish...please do it ;-)
I would prefer to get that sound with the G2 aswell.
