Do you mean a control pedal signal received over MIDI or an analog control
pedal connected to the CTRL PEDAL jack input at the backside?

I use a Theremin with CV output on the CTRL PEDAL jack input and although it
is not as smooth as playing an analog oscillator I don't experience the CTRL
PEDAL jack input as sluggish at all.

MIDI might be a whole different matter, as there is soo much other MIDI data
that can delay CC#s sent over MIDI.
